Dreamy Tropical Burleigh with Paints & Posca

Suitable: Tweens and Teens and kids who love to draw and paint.
Ages 10+
Materials: Watercolour, texta and pencilLocation: Curious Creative Studio, Tallai road, Tallai. (Near Mudgeeraba soccer field)
Rising to popularity in recent times, these tropical mixed media landscapes are so fun to create.Learning to sketch out their own tropical landscape from their imagination, with guidance and reference materials, kids will be using watercolour to paint a colourful backdrop. Once dry, finer techniques of hatching, cross hatching, zig zagging, dotting and marking will add shadow, volume and texture to their tropical scenes.
Skills explored:
• Personal illustration style development
• Watercolour techniques like Wet on Wet, Colour lifting, Shadowing, Gradients, Blooms
• Colour confidence
All sessions build creativity and a love of creating — this class is perfect for kids who just love straight watercolour painting and pretty things.
Artwork to take home: A finished A3 watercolour artpiece on quality 300gsm paper
Background: Music to dance and sing along to.
Intro: Fun active games around the studio to get the group to know each other and get our creative vibes on.
What to bring: NOTHING. It's all provided.

DROP OFF: Please DO NOT arrive earlier than 5 minutes prior to start time as we need time to clean up and set up from other classes and to make this class setup look as awesome as possible.
PICK UP: During holidays when we have back to back classes, we need time in between classes for a break, as well as cleaning and setup.
Please pickup promptly at required time. If you are running late, just text 0410 662 465
CANCELLATION: Refunds not available however you can choose between full class credit valid for 12 months, or rebook into another school holiday class.
In the event of an unavoidable class cancellation, by The Curious Creative Studio, such as severe weather that would impact the surrounding area or studio, you will be fully refunded and notified asap.
