Location: Curious Creative Studio, Tallai road, Tallai. (Near Mudgeeraba soccer field)
As a former zoo keeper, studio owner Laura Rancie has always loved animals. And in 2026, she is taking her teenage daughter trekking in Africa's Uganda and Rwanda in the footsteps of Diane Fossey and Jane Goodall to see wild Chimpanzees and Gorillas.
In this very special and exclusive class, Tweens and Teens will be joining Laura to learn about Great Apes and how to draw and paint an expressive monkey face using pencil and watercolour. We’ll focus on brush styles to reflect the shapes, shadows and effect desired for creating a watercolour based illustration. We'll discuss animal eyes, body shapes and simple shading to bring personality into each child's artwork.

All sessions build creativity and a love of creating — this class is perfect for kids who love animals, conservation and creating character through their art.
Artwork to take home: One finished magical creature artwork on quality paper.
Background: Music to dance and sing along to.
Intro: Fun active games around the studio to get the group to know each other and get our creative vibes on.

DROP OFF: Please DO NOT arrive earlier than 5 minutes prior to start time as we need time to clean up and set up from other classes and to make this class setup look as awesome as possible.
PICK UP: During holidays when we have back to back classes, we need time in between classes for a break, as well as cleaning and setup.
Please pickup promptly at required time. If you are running late, just text 0410 662 465
CANCELLATION: Refunds not available however you can choose between full class credit valid for 12 months, or rebook into another school holiday class.
In the event of an unavoidable class cancellation, by The Curious Creative Studio, such as severe weather that would impact the surrounding area or studio, you will be fully refunded and notified asap.
