The Curious Creative is a studio for connection and community.

The breezy and large open studio provides local families with a space to unwind and
be creative through workshops and classes taught by other locals and studio owner,

Laura Rancie.

Designed with like minded mamas in mind, there is sure to be a mid-week class to connect you back to your creative side (or discover your creative side). For Kids, the Curious Creative is an imaginative playspace designed for little hands to explore their curious selves. For Tweens, The Curious Creative is an incubator to unleash creativity.

I honestly can’t recommend this watercolor class enough. From the moment you step into Laura’s beautiful home studio, there’s this calm, welcoming feeling that just makes you exhale and settle in.

Laura is such a lovely teacher. Patient, encouraging, and quietly inspiring in the way she guides you without ever making you feel pressured or “not good enough.” Every class feels like a little creative retreat.

Another truly special element is the group she’s brought together. A small group of women from completely different ages and stages of life, all starting as total strangers… and somehow, through paint, paper, and a few shared laughs, we’ve become genuine friends. There’s something really magic about that.

We all began as beginners and now each of us has found our own unique style. We’re all creating beautiful watercolor pieces, blending in line drawing and mixed media in ways we never imagined we could.

It’s light, it’s uplifting, and it’s one of those rare experiences that fills your cup in more ways than one.

This is such a great class. It’s a small group, and in a cute art studio. It’s intimate and friendly and a great way to meet people. Laura is fun and a great teacher. I am a complete beginner, so she was great at teaching all the techniques, and by the end of it I felt confident to keep doing it at home. I would highly recommend. Best part of my week.

I was so grateful to have found Laura’s watercolour classes. For a hesitant beginner with zero experience or talent, Laura created a beautiful environment for me to join a group of other people , to learn techniques under her positive and encouraging eye, and mostly to have fun. My two daughters attend children's art classes with Laura both weekly during term and the holiday program days. Laura is so welcoming and friendly andy girls love going to their art classes. They learn different styles of art and get to experience and use various mediums.

Fantastic and fun. I really enjoyed the art classes - they were informative and enjoyable. My young daughter has also participated in the kids’ art classes and she always has the best time and comes home with amazing art projects. Highly recommend.

I have done 2 terms of Laura’s art class and have loved every minute of it! It’s my favourite time of the week, I have learnt so much in a fun and creative environment with a lovely group of ladies. Laura guides you in the techniques, provides great art inspiration that you actually want to hang on your walls, and always plays the best music for good vibes. I cannot recommend it enough!
